- I’ve been riding for 20 years. I didn’t ask you to represent me, so why should you?
We live in a political word, like it or not. The QMC was formed to fill a gap in the political landscape where it was felt, by enthusiastic Motorcyclists, that there were glaring omissions in the sorts of pertinent government policies and implementation of those policies, that directly affected Motorcyclists and weren’t being addressed. The QMC is a not-for-profit lobbyist group focused on said policies and issues giving law makers and enforcers the QMC’s perspective and in some cases effect changes more in line with Motorcyclists needs. The QMC has a voice in political and judicial spheres where the individual may not. But if you want to do your own thing, go for it.
- I don’t ride but love motorcycles, can I join?
Absolutely you can join. The only criteria you must meet is to have read and understood our Constitution, By-Laws and Code of Conduct, and agree to abide by these documents and pay the modest joining fee.
- The other day I was pulled over by a policeman and treated unfairly, what are you going to do about that?
Our role is to assist governments and constabulary on making policies and laws that are mindful of Motorcyclists and their right to fair and equitable use of Queensland roads. Beyond that we can refer you to other organisations that may be able to help you with your complaint.
