Membership Types

Full Members

Are members who have paid a membership fee;

Can attend meetings;

Have voting rights;

Can become executive, or general, committee members;

Can lead projects;

Can benefit from any discounts or special offers available to the Queensland Motorcycle Council Inc.

Affiliate Members

Are interested entities which are involved in some way with motorcycling. They may be cafes, bike shops. Insurers, distributors, etc;

Do not pay a membership fee;

Can attend meetings as observer and be invited to comment;

Have no voting rights;

Are not eligible to become committee members;

Are eligible to participate in projects but not lead them;

Owners and employees of affiliated entities can also be Full Members.

Club/Association Members

Are Clubs/Associations who have paid the club membership fee;

Must nominate one person as their representative;

The nominated representative can attend meetings;

The nominated representative has a single vote on behalf of the Club/Association;

The nominated representative can participate in projects but not lead them;

If the representative is also a full member that person may exercise both their own and the Club/Association’s vote.

Patrons

Are members who are invited to the position and are a significant representative of motorcycling;

They are not paid members;

They are ineligible to become paid members;

Can attend meetings;

They have no voting rights;

They may participate in projects but not lead them.

All Members

Must have read, and agreed to comply with, the Constitution, Code of Conduct and By-Laws of the Queensland Motorcycle Council Inc.

Are allowed to donate money or goods and services, if they wish, that are

In support of the QMC to be used at their discretion;

For use on a specific project;

On the understanding that the donated money or goods and services are not intended to influence the decisions or actions of the QMC.
