The President
Graham Keys
My working career has included Land Surveying for 9 years before spending the majority of my work life in Information Technology. I retired from the workforce in 2013 to focus on motorcycling and family.
Throughout my career I have chaired many committee meetings at both strategic and operational levels. Additionally, I spent 3 years as Chair of the Body Corporate Committee for the Unit building that I live in, consisting of 118 Units.
In 2019 I started a Master Degree with the Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety – Queensland (CARRS-Q), QUT. The focus of my research is motorcycle road safety, something I am passionate about.
I have been riding motorcycles for over 50 years and still actively ride my 2 motorcycles (2007 Honda CB1300 and 1972 Honda CB750).

Treasurer
Roy Packer
I was approached about the Treasurer’s position with QMC after about six years doing the same job for the MRAQ, resigning around 2014 due to their new focus and direction.Work history: I have been a long time High School teacher in the workshop subjects, currently using up some long service leave and transitioning to retirement. Always enjoyed teaching those who wanted to learn,
I also spent a long time in the Army Reserve as a member of the RACT (Royal Australian Corps of Transport). I held military licences from motorcycle to HC (heavy combination) and spent a lot of time in driver training both instructing and as a licence testing officer across these licence codes.
On the motorcycle side I started riding when I was initially teaching in Gayndah and have had something either Japanese, German or British almost continuously ever since.
After my first go at a restoration (BMW K100) I’m keeping an eye open for a project, my current ride is a Triumph Tiger Sport.
